What is Motive Knight?
Motive Knight is a table top role playing game about resisting oppression in a world ruled by intangible demons and their willing accomplices.
Characters in Motive Knight are not defined by an archetype, but by the Skills they choose to develop, the supernatural Abilities of their Souls, and the choices and sacrifices they make in pursuit of a less horrible world.

Order of the Anointed
Protectors of the natural world
Empower their souls through the songs of the World Spirit
Befriend, commune with, and channel the creatures, and powers of nature
Often practice professions such as hunting, sailing, farming, herding, or anything else that allows for time outside the distractions of city life.
Order of the Damned
Infiltrators of the enemy’s ranks
Focus themselves through supernatural conviction
Stand within arm’s reach of power in order to stand within striking distance of their enemies
Often members of lesser noble houses or influential guilds. Others may be employed as diplomats, attaches, or body guards.
Order of the Elucidation
The eldest surviving Order
Expand their supernatural capabilities by focusing energy through crystals
Seek to preserve the legacy of the Motive Knights at all costs
Often employed as jewelers, guards of jeweling guilds, or in other forms of trades and craft work.
Order of the Liberation
Preservers of knowledge
Prepare and support their allies through supernatural use of rare knowledge and advanced studies
Maintain secret libraries and archives to ensure knowledge cannot be lost or destroyed
Often work as scribes, archivists, pamphleteers, book binders, or similar.
Order of the Sunken Tower
Guerilla warriors
Learn techniques of Malediction to curse and destroy their foes
Live and train in cells organized under a military-like leadership structure with a focus on team tactics
Often pose as caravan guards, mercenaries, or even brigands to disguise their cell’s activities.
Inspirational Materials
Motive Knight was inspired by a wide range of philosophies, legends, trends, mythologies, and emotions - most of which aren’t easily conveyed in this format.
